Well, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.
All the work and effort that went into the new pieces for my major art show at the North Carolina Estuarium went for naught when the COVID-19 pandemic rolled across the planet.
The show was open for just two weeks when the Estuarium, being a state-run facitlity, closed for the duration. (No fault of the Estuarium folks — it was the right thing to do.)
But… no show, no artist reception.
I just wanted people see and like my artwork.
But life happens. And I’m told its how we react to what happens that makes the difference.
So, if we can’t bring people to the show, we’ll bring the show to the people — a virtual art show!
This video will introduce you to the North Carolina Estuarium and let you see my art show just as if you’d been there. I hope you enjoy it — and don’t forget to have a look around my new website if you haven’t already.
I hope you are staying safe and that we can meet in person sometime in the near future.

Fabulous tour, fabulous art, fabulous gallery..and last but not least fabulous videography
Awesome, Jackie. Quite a variety. My favorites are the sea horse and dragon fly, but all the pieces are really good. Clever idea to let the large fabric piece float in the air. Did Derek insist on providing names or did you ask him? Hope it will be open to the public in the near future.
Jackie, a great idea and such a variety! And interesting for you to explain your art pieces. Would love to see a “how-to” video of the scarves — so interesting and gorgeous and a “how-to” on the cool sculptures you did. Awesome work! I can’t wait to see your future shows in person.
